My Mother, Sheila Fox decided to record her early life, so she started to write – in longhand, in an old yellowed exercise book, direct transfer from brain to hand, no corrections, and all in order. This is what she wrote, all I did was transfer it to this blog. So here is Mum’s account of growing up and living in the Yorkshire Pennines. The first part was written about 15 years ago, and then stopped. Now that Mum knows that her writing is being published in this blog, she has started again.
